Don Riso Memorial and a Profound Connection

When I first heard that the memorial service for Don Riso was the second week of the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, I have to say I was truly disappointed. Jazz Fest weekends are two of the most precious weekends of my life, and I look forward to them immensely. However, the significance of Don Riso and Russ Hudson and their work in my life and life’s purpose are immeasurable. I have no regrets for going. In fact, it was an incredibly rich service. I connected with people that I had not seen since my training and had the opportunity to thank them for being a part of my past and present and therefore, future, and for their contribution to my work, which eventually led to the theory of the biological basis of personality based on the Enneagram.

I learned something incredibly profound that I had no idea about that totally dovetailed into something I created. If it sounds to you like I’m being vague, well, you’re right. The anticipated date for my book launch is 3 months from now, at which time I will share with the world the creation that came about as the result of this theory and is the perfect missing piece of Don’s work. Some might call it the Missing Link or the Rosetta Stone. I call it a tribute to Don and Russ and the Enneagram, and a gift to the world. More to come on that. Stay tuned…
